My Story

AN INNOVATIVE APPROACH RUNS IN THE FAMILY

Curiosity, versatility, and trust in progress: they’re in our DNA. My family has always embraced the world with unconventional approaches, putting passion into tackling new challenges and finding fresh, effective solutions.

My grandfather, Antonio Ghirelli—who, among other roles, worked with President Pertini at the Quirinale and served as spokesperson for the Craxi governments—reshaped the world of communication. He introduced a “multidimensional” approach to writing, essays, and journalism in both sports and politics, an approach that still feels modern today.

My parents, Community Psychologists, were among the first trainers at the Olivetti group and consultants for complex organizations. They created and applied their own methodologies, offering solutions that continue to address emerging professional needs today.

Growing up in such a dynamic environment, I chose to specialize in food and wine tourism back when this field was still little known, and very few businesses had structured themselves to highlight products of excellence.

A passionate lover of wine, gastronomy, and travel, today I work to tell the story and promote the culture of places—alongside the people who have turned them into resources and made them unique.

My Experience

Expert in hospitality, wine marketing, public relations, and food & wine tourism.

I have held key positions in prestigious wineries such as Guado al Tasso for Marchesi Antinori in Bolgheri, Petra for Terra Moretti in Suvereto, and Ornellaia & Masseto for the Frescobaldi Group in Bolgheri. I also served as Marketing and Sales Manager at Campo alle Comete, the new Bolgheri project of Feudi di San Gregorio.

My career has also included international PR experience with Sally Fischer Public Relations in New York, a landmark for “Made in Italy” in the US, and at Borgo Santo Pietro Lifestyle, where I worked on brand development with a strong focus on the luxury market, including press and media management.

Before specializing in the wine industry, I worked in Destination Management for Tui Travel Plc in Spain, and in Tourism Marketing for the French hotel chain Accor Hospitality.

My Academic Background

I built my academic path in an international context, earning a degree in International Tourism with a Master of Arts in Economics and Communication (in English) at Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI), at a time when Italy offered very few tourism-focused degree programs.

Previously, I completed a Bachelor’s in Tourism Sciences (Fondazione Campus Lucca), at the University of Pisa, including a year abroad at Universidad de Valencia (Spain) thanks to a Socrates Erasmus scholarship.

My Professionalism

As Head of Hospitality and PR in leading wineries, I designed, managed, and promoted wine-related experiences—from cellar tours and tastings, to developing fine dining projects, to optimizing private wine sales—with recognized results.

I coordinated and trained hospitality staff, built strong relationships with key players in the region, and fostered a creative, effective environment that led to successful network projects.

I also represented wineries and their brands at major national and international fairs and industry events, managing relationships with importers, distributors, as well as wine and travel press.

This experience has shaped a working method that proves effective even in the most complex contexts, always bringing out added value.
